I am a very proud mother of three sons who are all in college now. I am an honest person, and I expect honesty from the man in my life.

First dates are for getting to know someone, so I think going for a walk in the park, having lunch or another meal where we can sit across from one another and talk, going to a museum or a similar outing would be great for a first date. I want to know who you are and what you think and feel, therefore, we should do something to enjoy ourselves and so that we can spend as much time laughing and talking as possible.

I have lived in various places, but I have never been able to do a lot of travel for pleasure. That is something I would like to do. I want to experience other cultures and enjoy the variety that God has made in this world. I want to travel on a cruise because I have never done that. I am not a daredevil type of person, but I love experiencing new things.

I would like to get to know a down to earth Black man who enjoys good conversation and who does not mind being goofy at times. Ultimately, I would like to find Mr. Right to give myself to completely. I want to meet someone who is confident enough to know who he is and what he wants, but who can laugh at himself and can really enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Old fashion chivalry should not be dead to the man in my life because I like to be treated like a lady. I am very generous. I am willing to give of myself to the right man, but I need the man in my life to do the same for me. I am looking for a friend first and foremost. That means being honest about who you are and what you want. That is very important to me. If you enjoy good music (including old school soul and R&B, neo soul with hip hop flava, gospel, and of course, jazz) and dancing (I love to dance, but watch your feet), being able to laugh at yourself and with me, let me know you are interested, and maybe we can have a go
