I've been a few places, met a few people, done a few things, loved well and sometimes, not so much. I've made mistakes, broken a few hearts, and a promise or two at one time or another. Each experience has caused me to grow a little more and I've got the scars to prove it. I have also had my heart broken and more than a few promises come up empty from those I trusted implicitly. I've learned that we aren't always what we expect each other to be. And despite appearances, heartbreak is often mutual. I have seen the bottom of that well and understand its despair. In short, I am strong, masculine, empathetic, sympathetic, and Christian. I'm also an endless well of useless information that every so often becomes valuable when watching Jeopardy. I'm easy going and love people. I can cook, clean, and am potty trained so I'm good with kids. Someone once said that my culinary skills are legendary (and that was just after eating a hot dog). I used to work entirely too much and too hard. I'm learning to relax and take more time for myself so I can love others more. I was in the Navy for 13 years and am drawn to the water. I am a technical professional who works for the federal government here in Virginia. I am preparing to finish my undergrad degree so I can attend Law School after wards. I am well-traveled and reasonably educated. I love to laugh and am usually good company when alone or out in public. I seek a woman who is interested in becoming wonderful friends for life.

I think an all day date is fun. Bowling, mini-golf, or a drive for some lunch and spending some time talking at the beach. Then later a movie and dinner is a nice and simple way to get to spend some quality time. Okay...the truth is you really get a good feel for a person's temperament, attitude, and, above all...mental health! LOL!

My ideal partner would be the vision of all things wise. She would be intelligent without being condescending, feminine in the way that all men like, industrious and independent without needing to prove how accomplished she is at anything, kind and caring, empathetic and respectful, loving and gracious, devoted and loyal, sweet without being overbearing, grounded, and a people person. While she may or may not have her own career, she could be whatever she chose. But nothing would be more important than her family. She would be my soul-mate, mon cheri amour, my well-of-strength, my sympathetic ear, an honest sounding board, my "road-dog", my buddy, my love, but mostly she'd be my friend. She would be either full-figured and voluptuous in the way and context Rubens relished or cute and curvaceous. She would always be well manicured and pedicured because, I'm told, a girl just never knows. Basically...feminine.
