I've been a few places, met a few people, done a few things, loved well and sometimes, not so much. I've made mistakes, broken a few hearts, and a promise or two at one time or another. Each experience has caused me to grow a little more and I've got the scars to prove it. I have also had my heart broken and more than a few promises come up empty from those I trusted implicitly. I've learned that we aren't always what we expect each other to be. And despite appearances, heartbreak is often mutual. I have seen the bottom of that well and understand its despair.
