I am a single white woman in Alexandria. I have a professional career that is great, but not the main focus of my life. I am respected and creative in my field and always bring levity to situations.

I am from the Midwest and moved to the area about 4 years ago, chasing a career opportunity and a fulfilling life. I am still waiting on the latter. At 38, I have accepted that perhaps my future may not hold all the things I imagined my life would be like, but I am fine with that. Family can come in many forms.

I really miss someone totally knowing me. I know it takes time and patience, but I am really ready. In the past, I may not have always been so sure. I have been divorced for almost ten years from a very short-term marriage in my 20?s. I have had a few significant relationships since, but nothing ever ?sticks?.
