About Me:
I can’t think of one vegetable I dislike. My favorite zoo animals are the sea otters. I always try to swim in the section of the pool that has sunshine sparkling on it because it looks cleaner and fresher. I've fronted a band.
I’m warm and open, with an enthusiasm for life. I’m financially independent and successful. A low maintenance person who enjoys simple pleasures like dinner and watching the sun set over the lake. I love staying up late -- I almost always sleep in on weekends. I definitely have an adventurous streak -- whether it's trying out an exotic recipe in the kitchen, or taking a short trip up north or spontaneously heading to Paris. One Christmas I took three delightful strangers in my car with me to Asheville when we were snowed in and our flight was cancelled (Two were even Republican) It was an extremely heartwarming experience. Perception is in the eye of the beholder; so call me big and beautiful, curvy, or voluptuous...any term you wish. Half the battle is finding a woman who sees herself as desirable and has self-confidence. And I do.
My Idea of Our Perfect First Date:
We've built up such chemistry on the phone that when I open the door and see you, I grab you by the back of the neck and kiss you before I even leave the house. (Note: Don't you DARE try this -- some fantasies are best left as fantasies.)
What I've Learn: No one can make you happy but yourself. Flossing is important. Laughing is mandatory. Perfection is impossible. Better to be single than to be in a bad relationship. If it's worth it, I'll work for it; if it's not, I won't. Don't say anything you'll regret because you can't take it back. Finally, you must expose yourself emotionally -- it's the only way to reap love's greatest rewards. We’re all afraid inside. You have to take a leap of faith and open up.
About the One I'm Looking For:
Truth is, I'm just a nice girl (except when I’m feeling naughty) who's looking for some fun and companionship (not necessarily in that order). I love funny guys who can hold me spellbound with a story or make me laugh until I cry. I also love creativity and passion. Maybe it's your love of sophomoric movies (if you can catch a wrench you can catch a dodge ball), your baseball card collection or the fact that you moved across country with only a duffel bag -- it doesn't matter. The right man not only fascinates me but also brings out the best in me. We push each other to be the greatest people we can be. Being good friends is essential. We inspire each other, and we listen. We are tender, responsive and appreciative of each other. If you're comfortable in your own skin, have a strong sense of self and aren't afraid to expose your flaws, I'm sure we'll get along just fine. But I will say that if you've got a good sense of humor, or a part-time singer/guitarist, I'm already melting.
