Like most humans, I'm a work in progress. To me, the most important thing is to keep trying, keep growing and keep laughing.
I'm big on sponteniety and fun. I love traveling whether it's a road trip to Vulcan or a two-month backpacking expedition in Southeast Asia (both of which I've done). I am a writer, singer, painter, photographer, graphic artist and full time marketing manager for one of the coolest non-profits in Calgary. I am more active than I look lol. I ride my bike to work every day and am learning to play hockey. I do Zumba and have registered for a hiking course with the U of C Outdoor Centre. Want to join me?
I love to laugh and you can hear me a mile away when I do. I am honest (sometimes to a fault), loving and affectionate with my friends, I vascilate between a cynical realist and a naiive idealist depending on my mood.
In me you will find a creative, intelligent, talented, funny, kind, warm, affectionate, interesting person.
As for you: well, if you're smart and you can make me laugh, I'll probably like you. If you're confident enough to have a girl on your arm who isn't 120 lbs of barbie doll, I respect you already. Race isn't an issue for me, neither is what you do for a living. Age-wise I'm not too picky, but prefer someone between 30 and 50. In the end, I'm just looking for someone honest, smart, funny and truly committed to finding something meaningful.

Some random facts about me:
1. I have a birthmark on my ankle that is a perfect circle about 1 cm in diametre.
2. I enjoy animals with people names.
3. Leonard Cohen's Suzanne makes me cry every time I hear it and I don't know why.
4. I admire people who honestly don't care what other people thing, but respect other people nonetheless.
5. I just took up hockey lessons. Goal 1: Learn how to stop.
6. I have lived on my own since 19 year old and I'm still learning how to take care of myself.
7. I never wear earrings.
8. I turned 28 in Sihanoukville, Cambodia where the people I was travelling with threw me a beautiful party at a local restaurant decorated especially for the occasion. They even found a birthday cake. It was one of the most memorable times in my life and I'll be forever grateful to Diana, Sam and Gavin for pulling that off.
9. I married at 24, he had an affair with my best friend. I took the opportunity to learn about myself instead of playing the victim. I'm grateful for that experience - I am a better person for it.
10. I had my first cigarette at 6 years old. I inhaled for the first time at 11. I plan to quit - someday.
11. My IQ is 142 and I have ADD.
12. I didn't know I was an artist until I was over 30.
13. I got my first tattoo on my 32nd birthday.
14. When I was a kid, I used to have dreams I could breathe under water. Now I wake up gasping for air.
15. I love Kung Fu and cheesy dance movies.
16. I die a little inside anytime someone says irregardless or disorientated.
17. When I was young I was in a big hurry to grow up. Ironically, I'm not there yet.
18. The warm sun and a gentle breeze is a spiritual experience for me.
19. I don't like salty food touching sweet food on my plate.
20. To me, the worst thing I could ever be is mediocre.
21. I am allergic to marijuana.
22. I have never wanted to have children.
23. My two favourite movies of all time came out in the same year: Garden State and Lost in Translation
24. I once tried to do a 10-day vipasana meditation sit. I lasted less than 24 hours.
25. Music is very powerful for me. It allows me to feel things I don't always let myself feel and can often bring answers to nagging questions. It tells the story of my life and can bring back people and places in an instant.
