I am not necessarily in need, but am at the point where I desire a connection with someone I can call my friend first. Someone who understands me inherently and we can complement each other. I just feel life is so much more colorful when in love (or at least infatuated :) I have decided that if I can't experience all of the emotion that comes with love, then what is the point? To live is to love, right? I do enjoy engaging in deep conversations about social injustices, politics, religion, and issues or anything else that is mentally stimulating.
