When you stop and think about the paths you have taken to get where you are today and what made you who you are, it becomes like an intricate tapestry or puzzle… We are forever shifting the pieces, trying to align them in just the right place. Sometimes it feels as if there are pieces missing and we go through phases of searching a piece out when it’s always been there, we just haven’t been able to fit it in the spot where it belongs... or we frantically take a piece and try to make it fit where it doesn’t.
From childhood to adulthood we will make mistakes. The difficult part is to learn from our mistakes and not beat ourselves up when we stumble and fall. They say Practice Makes Perfect, but is there any such thing as perfection? My perfection I’m sure is different than yours. I think the quest for perfection is where you find Joy in life... It’s the discovering, exploring, and learned humility that bring us to so many precious moments.
Picking up the pieces and starting over, no matter how many times may be tough, but you learn that you can endure as long as the simple things stay important; The giggle of a child, taking time to marvel at Mother Nature, spending time with those closest to you, and doing something small every day to make someone else smile.
